Travel Tip: Cross Packing

We did not do this on our recent trip around the blue marble, but it’s a great idea I ran across recently, and would like to bear it in mind for another excursion.
The concept is simple: if you are traveling with your spouse or another travel partner, each of you should pack one change of clothing in the other’s bag. In case one set of luggage should get lost, you’ll each have at least one change of clothes. We were packing so light, and putting both backpacks in one large bag for checking anyway so it wouldn’t have made much difference. But on other types of trips, it might have. If you think this will work for you, try it out!
