How to Be a Road Warrior: Some Cool Products

Mobile Gear

I know I usually try to lean towards the extreme budget end of things, but I ran across a couple of items here that I am anxious to try out when budget and circumstances permit.

First, this cool tri-fold garment bag from the Swiss Army company. What I like about it (at least from what I can tell) is that it is the only garment bag I’ve every seen that would be even remotely convenient to carry through an airport. It holds several changes of clothes neatly, and folds up to a size small enough to fit under the seat in front of you. How many of us have ever been traveling to a job interview, wedding, or (God forbid) a funeral only to have our luggage misplaced and been stuck problem solving (and purchasing) a new clothing solution? At around three hundred bucks, this garment bag isn’t cheap, but compared to the cost of replacing the more expensive clothing we take to these types of events, it might just be worth it when the time is right.

Second, if you’re looking for mobile gear , this web site has a few interesting things. A bit overpriced in my opinion, but I did take note of a very trendy looking laptop case that converts from a shoulder strap carrying case into a small backpack. Quite handy for the active urbanite on the go, I would think.

I’ll continue to be on the lookout for cool items that might be worth the money in the right situation. As I’ve learned from some time on the road, the right gear can be worth its weight in gold.
