Travel Tip: Safety Pins

These little marvels come in handy for more things than I can cover in this entry.
Just a few ideas? Securing zipper handles on backpacks for airplane and bus travel, mending gear, turning a sarong into a skirt, and other women’s wardrobe support.
Carry several of different sizes, and get creative with storage options. I like to have one larger safety pin with the others all strung onto it. This larger holding pin can then be attached to a caribiner clip or strung onto a metal key ring with other handy items like miniature nail clippers, travel silverware, etc. The plain metal ring can they be added to a clip on the inside of your pack.
