How to Be a Road Warrior: Reflections on Alternative Blog Uses

Hello, everyone! I was brainstorming with a friend and colleague yesterday about the public and private configuration options for this blog software.

She raised the issue of being able to keep the configuration private until she had her blog site developed to the point where she felt comfortable launching it to the world.

The more I thought about her point, the more ideas I started to have about the benefits of having the privacy option configured for such uses as launching a project from the road, or even having a blog that was permanently private if you were a freelance writer, or someone who needed a place on the road to jot down short story or plot ideas and have them be secure while in draft form. While it is also possible to use the various free online email programs for this via the varying folder options, I believe there would be additional organizational elements available in this formats that could be more useful, depending on the type of documentation you want to record. I ran this by a few creative friends who write, and they agreed the idea could prove useful. Would love to hear from anyone who might already be trying this. Feel free to submit a comment.
