We were blessed to have loads of people come to visit us when we lived in Italy. Myscha’s Mom and Dad were among them. Here are some of the sightseeing pictures from back in the day.

Statue by the lake’s edge in Desanzano.

One of the floor mosaics from the Roman baths in Desanzano.
More Roman bath mosaics.

More Roman mosaics.
Interior pic of part of the still-standing portion of the baths.
Our neighborhood in Desanzano.
The San Martino tower on the way from Desanzano to Sirmione. I always called this the “mother of all rooks”.
Same tower, shot from the ground.
Another shot of the San Martino tower.
More on the tower . . . I can’t help it, it’s a great thing to photograph!
Myscha and Mom T in the area by the tower.
The curving staircase inside the tower. There is art work all the way to the top, where you can walk around outside.
More of the art work inside the tower. This field was the site of a huge battle at some point. David knows more about it. We’ll have to ask him to write up a blurb.
More tower art work.
More tower shots. This is the artwork on the window casings.
More interior tower mural work. The artwork is continuous during the entire climb to the top.
One of the views from the top of the tower. Very Italian.
Another shot from the top of San Martino Tower.
Mom and Dad T at the top of the tower.
Path leading up to the church by the tower. It’s decorated with skulls from the battle, some showing the battle-ax holes . . . very eery.
Closer shot of the church at San Martino.
The skull display behind the alter. Can you picture yourself sitting in church each Sunday?
The tower as seen through the trees from the church.
