Travel Sites: Some of David’s Favorite Picks

Hi Everyone! I asked my road warrior husband for some of his favorite internet web sites, and here’s what he said:
- TravelSmith For travel clothing that really makes the grade.
- L.L. Bean Travel and adventure clothing, as well as packs and other gear.
- Weather Underground Dave does most of the driving while I tend to be the family navigator. He loves this site for checking the weather conditions before we head out via automobile.
- Map Quest While it’s geared more towards the United States, Dave still loves this site while we’re back home for on the fly road trips. It also looks like they’re starting to expand their international section.
- Expedia David books most of our trip tickets through this site.
- Lonely Planet The web site for the popular travel publisher. David especially loves their “thorn tree” forum where you can read the posts from fellow travelers.
- Google Earth One of David’s ultimate faves. Why? Because it’s just plain cool. Check it out!
