Packing Lists and Tips

We found a few around the web, and have been working on our own “tweaked” versions, which we’ll try to post soon. Here are some links to lists and articles that got us started.
Some of these people take more than we are planning to, but their philosophies are in tune with ours.
- Traveling Light – The How and Why An article on how to travel with very little actual weight in your pack. Provides a list for what they took for their ultralight trip to Ecuador.
- Packpourri - An article from travelite.org featuring various recommendations for items you might not think to pack at first.
- What to Pack - From travelindependent.info, a fairly extensive list.
- Rick Steeves’ packing list Recommended packing list from the popular travel guru.
- Onebag.com’s what to pack list - This is the one that we’ve followed the most closely. Remember, you won’t be taking the largest size of everything. So far, David and I are at one backpack and a day-pack each.
More later on our final list and what actually makes the cut when all is said and done.
