Scotch and Holy Water, by John D. Tumpane is an up-close and personal look at integration into Turkish culture. 

Well worth the read to discover the event that actually lead to the title (it’s quite a distance into the piece).  This book is actually one of the things that brought David and I together.  Any expat who has lived in Turkey or the region will receive a chuckle or two.
