As someone who has repeatedly selected countries to live in for a year or more, I enjoyed this book’s peek into the progression of cultural assimilation that occurs when you travel long term in a particular region, or in this case, move there permanently.
The descriptions of detailed home renovation in a foreign country and language will either make you laugh, cry, or both, depending on whether or not you’ve tackled the same.
